Buy Pinenuts (Jumbo)
Milled and blended in Hong Kong.
Pinenuts really do come from the Pine tree and are one of the world's most ancient cultivated nuts - with a history that dates back over 5000 years. They grow all over the world, from Russia to Korea to Pakistan to the US, and a dozen other nations. However, due to the fact that the seed itself is tiny, and climate needed is extremely dangerous to live in, prices for this nut are a ways above other common treenuts like walnuts. Due to climate change, this nuts habitat has also been shrinking year after year, so prices have been creeping up with no way down for the last decade.
Regency's Jumbo grade Pinenuts are buttery smooth and great for cooking in pestos and Stir Fries, and equally tasty when snacking on directly. Try these Pinenuts to see what flavours have been missing from your common storebought variety.
