It contains small amounts of onion, garlic, salt, and pepper, so you can just use this as a one-stop spice for cooking a fish curry. Only oil, chopped tomatoes and water or cream left to be added.
The flavours are sweet without being too spicy through addition of nutmeg, mace, and light herbal notes through curry leaves and Tejpatta. This recipe contains some of our mild chilli powder so it's still light and easy to eat. You could add more chilli powder if you like it hotter.
