Vadouvan Spices might be described as an imitation Madras Curry Powder but it's so much more than that. This french adaptation on a traditional indian curry powder brings with it more sweet, mellow and garlicflavour undertones that help to put more emphasis on the key ingredient of your curry. It's extremely versatile and tastes great with all manner of mains from Lobster toGlazed Ribs, Biryani to SpiceCrusted Lamb, Sole and other fish,Roasted Carrots, Corn Soup, Scrambled Eggs and the list goes on. Try to imagine a gentle curry powder which allows the ingredients to speak for themselves. Also known as vadovan curry, vadouvan curry masala, vadouvan spice mix, french curry

Please note: We freshly grind and pack our Vadouvan Spice to order for maximum flavour. This signature recipe is our secret, so we cannot sell this blend in whole form.

Vadouvan Spices Technical Notes
Ingredients: Cardamom, Chillies, Turmeric, Onion, Cumin, Cloves, Curry Leaves, Garlic, Mustard, Nutmeg
Usage: This savoury, onion-centric curry powder is perfectly balanced and best used for simple, elegant cooking. Mix with yoghurt and use as a curry for fish, lamb, or chicken. Use as a meat rub for grilling, or for starchy vegetables and grains.

Please note that our ingredients are 100% natural and processed using traditional methods. As a result there may be some visible imperfections. Our spices will have variations in size and colour due to factors such as the amount of sunlight they received when growing, or the amount of rainfall in a particular season. These differences in appearance are entirely normal, and are the result of not treating them with any chemicals, reducing unnecessary hand selection, and minimizing waste.

Good but subtle flavour

I used the 5g sample with about 500g of pork, the flavour was good but subtle. I suggest to add a bit of salt when using this spices on meat.
