Whole Ginseng roots. The name Ginseng originates from the Hokkien Chinese word Jin-Sim, which refers to a person's plant-roots, thought to refer to how the root of ginseng forks similarly to the legs of a person.
Ginseng has been treated as a medicinal herb for thousands of years with some known written references dating back to 196AD from China, although clinical research has been inconclusive about the health benefits.
