Cinnamon (Cassia) prices have climbed tremendously in the last 2 months. Farmers claim very heavy rains leading to a lot of barks getting moulded. Due to low prices in recent few years, crop were also reduced. Pistachio prices have risen dramatically in the last 2 weeks. This appears to be general supply / demand issue and we expect it to be corrected back to normal in the coming few months. Kampot Peppercorn prices are gradually dropping. As the pepper gets more famous, more farmers have started getting licenses to grow this in the special Kampot region of Cambodia, and prices are slowly starting to fall. |
