You might have seem huge cuts of meat hanging in arabic restaurants or maybe even fast food kebab chains. They may have different names but they are all part of the Shawarma (or Shwarma) family. Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish made by slow cooking different cuts of meats on a rotisserie-style grill. Traditionally, lamb, beef, chicken, turkey are used. The meats are loaded with spices and marinaded beforehand to infuse flavours during the slow cook process. Then served with a light flavoured dip, labne or tahini work best to balance the spices.
Regency Spices recipe for Beef Shawarma has been tested by dozens of restaurant chefs and we're proud to present it online. Beef Shawarma spices are more coarsely ground, and contain a different set of spices from our Chicken one: Cardamom, Caraway and hint of Nutmeg and cloves instead of allspice for a flavour which complements beef and brings out the sweetness in even tougher cuts of meat.

Beef Shawarma Technical Notes
Ingredients: Caraway, Cardamom, Cassia Cinnamon, Chillies, Cloves, Cumin, Garlic, Nutmeg, Oregano, Black Pepper, Sea Salt
Usage: Rub Beef Shawarma on all sides of the beef. Marinade with olive oil, cover and refrigerate for a few hours. Then grill in the oven, preferably slow on rotisserie.

Our spices will have variations in size and colour due to factors such as the amount of sunlight they received when growing, or the amount of rainfall in a particular season. These differences in appearance are entirely normal, and are the result of not treating them with any chemicals, reducing unnecessary hand selection, and minimizing waste.
