Kaniwa is another super-grain that was recengtly discovered by the English-speaking population. Much like Quinoa, Kaniwa also originates from South America and is more well balanced as a grain: High in proteins & fats, and relatively low in Carbohydrates. Kaniwa grains are tiny, like poppy seeds. Cook just like rice, saute with your favourite spices before serving to get some nice flavour in.

Usage: Cook 1 cup Kaniwa with 2 cups liquid like any other rice or grain. Tastes great when sauteed with olive oil, freshly chopped onions, salt pepper and any mild seasoning.
