Regency Blackened Seasoning is the ideal seasoning for making blackened fish, beef, pork, chicken. For those of you who may not know what is blackened meat, its an american southern favourite, with flavour notes very similar to Cajun Seasoning although entirely different. The Blackening happens from burning butter until charred while on the surface of the meat to create a crispy and smoky layer and release more flavours from the meat with that sweet butter at the same time.
Blackened Seasoning Cooking Notes
Usage: Melt a generous amount of butter and mix in Regency Blackened Seasoning. Dip your meat/fish in the mixture until fully coated, you can add extra seasoning too. Place in a super hot cast-iron pan and cook for a few minutes on each side until cooked. Be prepared for lot of smoke from the charring butter.
