Buy Amla (Gooseberry)
Pure Indian Amla Berries. This super spice (although confusingly named as a berry) is packed with nutrients making it extremely popular in skincare and haircare in it's native country of India. Flavourwise, it's also a great way to add mild sour tanginess to your food - curries, dips, sauces.
These amla berries are dried and crispy, suitable for rehydrating and gradually releasing flavours in a curry, or for grinding to powder. There is no added sugar or other preservatives
Regency Amla berries are always bought whole, and can be freshly ground to powder for maximum purity.

Please note that our ingredients are 100% natural and processed using traditional methods. As a result there may be some visible imperfections. Our spices will have variations in size and colour due to factors such as the amount of sunlight they received when growing, or the amount of rainfall in a particular season. These differences in appearance are entirely normal, and are the result of not treating them with any chemicals, reducing unnecessary hand selection, and minimizing waste.
I ordered the Amla (gooseberry) in fine powder form. I add it to my tea or chia drink. It's a bit grainy even in powder form, so it works best in something like a chia drink or maybe a yogurt, where it won't settle to the bottom. Super health food, so if you are looking to add antioxidants to your diet, this is one of the best things you can consume.
I ordered the berries due to its high fiber content and antioxidant properties. A bit bitter but since bitterness is good for the body, I don't really mind at all.
What I do mind is that how come the pit wasn't removed? I almost bit into it accidentally, hurting my teeth!
