Usually we at Regency aren’t into posting about natural remedies, but here’s one that has been investigated and confirmed by modern science, so we are comfortable to share it with you. Of course, before starting any treatment, do consult a specialist. And we also aren’t making any claims that this will work for you!
In many cultures of the world, a mixture of honey and cinnamon has served as a traditional cure. Today’s scientists understand that honey is a good medicine for curing various ailments, and until now has no known side effects for treating these simple diseases. There is some risk with the sweetness, but science claims that if taken in prescribed medical dosages, the sugar content is also not going to be a problem for diabetics.
The Canadian journal ‘Weekly World News’, published a few years ago a list of diseases curable by honey and true cinnamon, as evidenced in various trials.
Through the trials, they found that a mix of honey and true ceylon cinnamon can help dealing with Acne, Arthritis, Bladder Infections, Broken Bones, Cancer, Cholesterol, Colds, Fertility, Gas, Hair Loss, Hearing, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Impotency, Toothaches and even Weightloss.
Below we go through some of the suggested home remedies with supposedly quick results:
Acne– Mix three spoonfuls of cinnamon with mayonnaise and a dab on acne every night. The antibacterial properties of cinnamon will clear up your complexion within a week.
Cardiovascular: Make a paste using honey and cinnamon powder, and eat this as a spread on bread for breakfast daily. Regular use of this paste will reduce shortage of breath and strengthen the heart beat.
Toothache: Make a paste out of a spoon of cinnamon powder and 5 spoons of honey. Place on aching tooth 3 times a day to stop it.
Of course, be sure to use Ceylon Cinnamon. Cassia Cinnamon on the contrary has been shown to also have some negative side effects that show up with overuse, whereas Ceylon Cinnamon can be used more freely. How to tell what you have? Buy the whole sticks! Cassia Cinnamon sticks are hollow on the inside, whereas Ceylon Cinnamon sticks are made of many thin layers. Tastewise, Cassia is spicy and sweet, whereas Ceylon is almost purely sweet.
