Industry Knowledge: Himalayan Pink Salt is one of the most flavourful salts in the world. Not only does it look exotic, but it tastes the part as well. Himalayan Pink Salt can be substituted in for use across all cuisines. Usually the crystals of this salt range from a fine off-white powder to a beautiful pink. Regency's are uniform, and can look gorgeous even as a garnish on desserts such as salty caramel macarons. Our Himalayan Salt is also frequently used as a bath salt due to it's unique smell, colour and exotic appeal. Himalayan Salt has to be hand-mined from ancient natural salt deposits, and all the physical copies can't be replicated in a lab. It's rich in mineral content that includes over 80 unique minerals and trace elements, which is why it has a much stronger flavour than ordinary table salt or kosher salt. Our favoured use for the salt is for adding final touches to a dish. When finely ground, it can even be added directly without cooking to impart it's full flavour.
