Tarragon is one of the rarer herbs in cooking, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the most delicious. One whiff of the smell and you feel like you're actually sniffing chocolate. Cook with it for gorgeous deep sweet flavours of aniseed and vanilla. Our Regency Tarragon comes from Spain, France or Persia, depending on seasonality. In the culinary world, theseåÊTarragons are known to be some of the best in the world - we've found that while French tarragon is better fresh, Spanish and Iranian Tarragon is much more potent when dry. It has a stronger flavour, and also the anise flavour notes, plus it's much more long lasting.
Tarragon Flakes Cooking Notes:
Flavour: Vanilla, Aniseed, Chocolate
Usage: Add it near the beginning of cooking for a warm, sweet, mellow flavour. Pairs well with Chicken, Eggs, Bernaise, Stews, Pickles, breads and soups.
