Juniper Berries don't instantly strike you as a spice, but they're almost as versatile as any spice can be. The liquor Gin was developed using Juniper Berries, which is how Gin got it's name (The french for Gin is genièvre, and the Dutch for Gin is jenever). Juniper Berries are a little too bitter to eat directly, but when used in cooking they bring out a great sweetness in wild game and other tough meats.

*Industry specific terminology.

Please note that our ingredients are 100% natural and processed using traditional methods. As a result there may be some visible imperfections. Our spices will have variations in size and colour due to factors such as the amount of sunlight they received when growing, or the amount of rainfall in a particular season. These differences in appearance are entirely normal, and are the result of not treating them with any chemicals.
