|Industry Knowledge||Star Anise is indigenous to South Eastern China, and also produced in Vietnam and India. Within China, Star Anise is grown in four provinces (Fujian, Guangdong, Guanxi and Yunnan). Regency Star Anise come from Guangdong - the province best known for providing natural good coloured and flavoured star anise, free from colourants and preservatives. These star anise have a stronger liquorice taste than their other counterparts and is one of the key ingredients to Chinese Five Spice powder. Star Anise requires specific agro climatic conditions available only in the traditional growing areas, which is why it's vital to get star anise from these regions. It prefers woodlands, sunny edges, and dappled shade, growing well in humus rich, mildly acidic to neutral soils and toleratant of temperatures down to –10 degrees C. Learn more about Star Anise.|
