Meet the world's best Walnuts! Regency Walnuts come from Chile during July - November, where the climate is perfect for growing walnuts that are much sweeter, and less bitter than your ordinary USA or Chinese origin nut. Chilean walnuts have a lighter, brighter colour and a much higher oil content. However, this also makes Chilean walnuts much more sensitive to nature, so they must be kept refrigerated when stored in order to maintain their flavour.
When Chilean walnuts are out of season, we get the best of the best Walnuts from the USA (Usually October - June). Because of the perishable nature of fresh walnuts, they grow best in the northern hemisphere (USA) during these months, and in the southern hemisphere (Chile) in the other months.
Special Note: Unfortunately we cannot offer a huge range of refill bags, samples and jar sizes to avoid contamination issues with the rest of our spices. Walnuts are a type of nut and allergen, so we take the utmost care to ensure it does not come into contact with our other spices.
